Loguw Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Loguw handles personal information for an on-device memory perfumery experience involving photos, camera access, visual analysis, fragrance formulas, local collections, reminders, support, and optional App Store consumable purchases.

1. Privacy Overview

Loguw is designed as a local-first creative app. The app helps you turn memories into fragrance-inspired formulas by using device features such as the camera, photo library, local image analysis, local data storage, notifications, and App Store purchases.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party tracking domains in the app. We do not intentionally collect precise location, government identifiers, financial card numbers, health data, or biometric identifiers.

Some information may still be personal information because it can relate to you or others, especially photos, memory titles, stories, purchase records, support emails, device diagnostics, and app-generated inferences.

2. Who Is Responsible for Privacy Requests

The operator of Loguw is responsible for responding to privacy questions and requests about this app. For Singapore users, the same contact acts as the Data Protection Officer contact for purposes of receiving PDPA-related requests.

Support communications Email address, message content, screenshots, purchase context, and details you choose to send us. You. Used to respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, and keep compliance records.
Device and diagnostic information Device model, app version, operating system version, crash logs, and diagnostics if provided by the platform or by you. Your device, Apple, or you. Used to improve reliability, security, and compatibility.
Loguw's current Apple privacy configuration indicates no third-party tracking and no developer-declared data collection. If future features require server-side accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or additional collection, this policy and any platform disclosures should be updated before those features are used.

4. Why We Use Information

We use information only for appropriate and disclosed purposes, including to:

  • Provide app features such as photo import, camera capture, memory analysis, formula creation, favorites, local galleries, reminders, and progress views.
  • Process, deliver, verify, troubleshoot, and support consumable coin purchases.
  • Respond to support, legal, privacy, safety, and compliance requests.
  • Protect the app, users, purchases, and platform integrity from fraud, misuse, security incidents, or technical problems.
  • Comply with applicable law, App Store rules, tax, accounting, dispute, and consumer protection obligations.

5. Device Permissions

Loguw requests access only when a feature needs it. You can control permissions through your device settings.

  • Photo Library: used to import selected photos and create memory-inspired fragrance experiences.
  • Camera: used to capture moments you choose to transform into app memories.
  • Notifications: used for memory anniversary reminders and similar app reminders if you allow them.
  • Local Storage: used to save formulas, photos, thumbnails, stories, favorites, coins, preferences, and progress on your device.

Revoking a permission may limit related features. Deleting the app or local data may remove locally stored content unless your device or platform has a separate backup.

6. Sharing, Sale, Advertising, and International Transfers

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly use your photos, stories, or formulas for third-party advertising.

We may disclose limited information when necessary to operate or protect Loguw, including:

  • With Apple or your device platform for App Store purchases, refunds, diagnostics, device permissions, and platform services.
  • With email, hosting, support, security, legal, or professional service providers that help us respond to your communications and operate the app.
  • When required by law, court order, regulator request, consumer protection process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, financing, restructuring, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Because contact email and platform services may be operated across borders, your information may be processed outside your country or region. Where required, we use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational measures to protect transferred information.

7. Retention and Deletion

Local app content generally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, reset app data, or uninstall the app. Support communications and compliance records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal requirements, dispute handling, security, or legitimate business records.

If you ask us to delete information we control, we will honor the request unless we need to keep it for lawful reasons such as purchase records, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, regulatory compliance, or completing a transaction you requested.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including local-first design, limited collection, platform permission controls, and restricted use of support information. No app, device, storage system, email service, or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining device security, device backups, Apple ID security, operating system updates, and access controls such as passcodes or biometric device unlock.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, portability, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent, information about processing, complaint review, or non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To make a request, email loguwcyl@163.com. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your request and locate records. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why unless prohibited by law.

Because Loguw is primarily local-first, we may not be able to access or delete content stored only on your device. You can manage device-only information through app controls, device settings, or by deleting the app and its local data.
